Shui-Jiong Wang Research Group
We are a group of PhDs, PhD candidates, master students, undergraduates focused on development and application of metal stable isotopes in studies of geological and planetary processes. Our technique mainly involves both purification of targeted elements through column chromatography and high-precision isotopic analyses using Multi-Collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (MC-ICPMS).
In particular, we use elemental and isotopic tracers, together with petrology and mineralogy, to study the early Earth’s mantle-crust evolution, deep volatile recycling and biogeochemical cycles of nutrients
